Cutting a dashing figure in his Panama hat, Antonio Boellis was a master of his art in early-20th century Naples. His father before him had been a tailor and Antonio retained this craftsman’s eye and applied it to the art of shaving.

In 1924, among the narrow cobblestone streets of Italy’s famous seaport, Antonio opened his first establishment. In 1960, Antonio’s son, Peppino, moved the premises to the third floor of an historic building in the elegant centre of Naples. Here the business expanded into spa facilities and soon the dapper family became synonymous with an exacting personal style.

The location has a bright and spacious club-like environment. It remains the go-to place for its long-standing customers, many of whom have introduced their sons and grandsons to one of Napoli’s best-kept secrets.

Boellis remains a family business, passed down through generations, and Michele and Antonio are the current custodians.

The family has launched a range of luxury fine fragrance, shaving, bath & body products for the discerning gentleman. Panama 1924 takes its name from the hat that made the family patriarch a local legend and the year the establishment was founded. The line includes a fantastic scent that is a combination of fresh citrus, lavender, vanilla and tobacco.
