D. R. Harris & Co. LTD. has held its position in St. James’s Street for over 200 years. The family owned business is renowned for their range of superior quality products covering colognes, shaving preparations, soaps, skin care, bathing preparations, candles and aromatherapy oils. The distinguished range is produced using traditional methods and the majority is hand made on the premises in St James’ Street, London.
Heritage
The original D. R. Harris apothecary was established in 1790, located on St. James’ Street right in the heart Gentleman’s Clubland. D. R. Harris built a reputation on producing the finest perfumes and bathing requisites to London’s social elite. The family owned establishment served the Court of St. James and in 1938 D. R. Harris was granted the Royal Warrant as Chemists to Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth the Queen Mother. Their tradition of excellence was re-affirmed in 2002, when D. R. Harris & Co. Ltd. was granted the Royal Warrant as Chemists to His Royal Highness the Prince of Wales.
Today
D. R. Harris & Co. Ltd. continues to produce and manufacture the finest shaving, skincare, fragrance and bathing preparations for distinguished clientele the world over. The original store also maintains its role as a pharmacy and chemist for residents of St. James and Mayfair.
