Former international cricketer Dion Nash now founder, and manager of Triumph & Disaster has built his brand with the philosophy to use the best of science combined with the best of nature. The ethos is to produce naturally derived but scientifically engineered products that work.
Dion’s passion for skincare dates back to his childhood being surround by a family of boxers and tailors. The brands name was established from a poem exchanged between father and son, hidden away for years before being uncovered in the bottom of an old chest. The line that stood out reads: ‘if you can meet with Triumph & Disaster and treat those two imposters just the same’ and so the brand was born.
Having spent long days enduring sun, wind and sweat during his professional sporting career, Dion Nash formulated his initial skincare regime to combat the environmental effects and exposure on his skin. With this in mind, the basis of Triumph and Disaster’s ethos was decided - to look after and protect our bodies most valuable asset, our skin.
Working closely with the best chemists and world class perfumers, Triumph and Disaster have brought ideas to life and developed a range of products for the man who wants clean, healthy, vibrant skin. The man who wants a close, clean shave. The man who want to feel great about their grooming routine.
Triumph and Disaster aim to respect nature, utilise science, create products of ritual and tools for preparation. They source local indigenous ingredients such as Horopito oil and Ponga fern extract blended with scientifically proven and natural ingredients from around the globe, such as clay from Australia, Jojoba extract from Mexico and Tamanu oil from Polynesia.
